More Profitable Solar Power Plants by Storing Energy in Sand

Solarigo and Polar Night Energy have started a collaboration that will improve the profitability of solar energy in Finland. Excess solar energy is recovered in a new way as heat that can be used later no matter the weather.

Solarigo Systems and Polar Night Energy have entered into a co-operation agreement that aims to increase the efficiency, profitability and size of solar power plants.

Solarigo offers its customers renewable and emission-free solar electricity by building solar power systems on the roof or site of the customer company.

Polar Night Energy’s patented technology enables the local overproduction of solar power plants to be stored as heat.

Heat storages solve the two biggest problems of wind and solar power: production and variability in consumption and recovery of surplus production.
